This is a narrative in the form of a Macintosh Director slide show. A website designer, laid off after the tech industry collapse, explains the principles of fractal geometry. At the same time she describes her relationship with Benoit Mandelbrot, the creator of fractal geometry. She describes Chinese dinners with the mathematician, who was friends with her father, and how Mandelbrot was also laid off by IBM.
