Suharto (Playing Sick)

This maquette was based on a news story I heard on NPR. When the former president of Indonesia was on trial for corruption, he refused to show up, claiming he was sick. While Suharto was a very controversial leader, his presidency was actually good for orangutans, who benefitted from his fairly strict protection. So I imagined two of these apes as his only comforters during this difficult time.
